The Silverstone Raven-03 is the latest addition to the Raven family of chassis'. Once again Silverstone has employed the 90-degree motherboard mounting to allow heat dissipation in a natural vertical alignment.
Since beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder, I will leave the exterior case judgment to you. I will say that I prefer the more austere look of the Raven-02e and I question why gold was the choice of the accenting color on the 03. The overall form of the case has been altered as well- Silverstone has shortened the case slightly to reduce size and weight. In this regard, I again, prefer the Raven 02e as the new case appears slightly "stubby" with the reduced form. However, despite the trimming, the case can now support extended ATX motherboards- a feat the Raven-02 cannot match.
The cooling of this case in all my research is almost exactly the same numbers I'm seeing from my Raven-02e- despite having one less 180mm "Penetrator" fan. Depending where your video card lines up in relation to the penetrator fans on the case flooring, the case will do an excellent job keeping the cards nice and cool. If you are able to install your video card above the outside edges of the bottom fans (as opposed to the ball-bearing center) your cooling will be maximized. If you have never used a Silverstone Raven case, you'll want to note that the motherboard alignment allows all of the hot components to expel heat out the top of the case without being impeded or blocked by installed components. This allows the case to employ the aid of physics (heat rises) to clear the warm air from the case. A rather novel idea.
Overall, this is a very good case- especially in it's price range. If you find the exterior appealing, it should be a great fit for your next build. The case is easy to work with, has well-finished construction and is now available at a price point almost $50 cheaper than the Raven-02. If you are in the market for a new case and want something a little different, while being a strong performer(and supporting extended ATX)- look no further than the Raven-03.

This case is cable management for dummies. Because of the location of the psu and the way the cables face the back and the mounting of the hard drives along the backside, even if you are the worst at cable management, this design will force it to look nice. The drive power cables don't have to make an appearance on the front at all. Even though it lacks grommets that some of the fancier cases have I don't mind. I really like the huge 180mm fans and the airflow. The 90 degree angle is amazing and I really think this is the way to go for a variety of reasons. Airflow is more natural and even the strain on the board is more natural when it's 90 degrees.
I like the way the cables come out the top and route through the back. The only complaint is the usb3 cabling which is kinda odd. You basically connect to the external jacks to get it out the front. I love this case.

My only suggestion is to add a fan on the right side of the case where the hard drives are mounted. I have 3 HDDs and an SSD. Without the fan the drives were unacceptably warm (Speedfan showed them on fire). The addition of one 120mm fan in pull configuration keeps the drives cool.
Other than that I like everything about the case. Very pleased.
